Honestly, I came across the technique by accident! I was working with a client and didn’t have enough hair for her install, so I got creative and experimented with new methods. I loved the outcome and realized it could fill a gap in the industry for extensions that are both seamless and gentle on the hair and scalp. That’s how the Invisible K-Tip method was born! I wanted to create a solution that was not only innovative but inclusive for all women.

You’ve built a seven-figure empire by the age of 30—an incredible achievement! What are some key lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Dee Michelle:
The biggest lessons have been around consistency, professionalism, and communication. Reputation is everything in this industry, and clients trust you to make them feel amazing. Also, staying adaptable and on top of trends is key. I’ve seen stylists fall behind because they weren’t keeping up with what clients wanted. That’s why I prioritize continuing education—it’s the foundation for long-term success.

Your work empowers the next generation of stylists through master classes. What trends do you see dominating the hair industry in 2025, and how are you helping to shape the future?

Invisible K-Tips are definitely here to stay. Clients are also gravitating back to natural styles like traditional sew-ins and anything that enhances natural beauty. As for training, I’m developing new programs to teach not just techniques but also the business side of hairstyling, like attracting high-end clients and setting pricing. I believe we all deserve to win in this industry.

Who is your dream client—the one you haven’t worked with yet?
Dee Michelle:
It has to be Beyoncé! Every time I post, someone tags her name in the comments, so fingers crossed it happens one day.
